Tennis-themed Engagement session at UP Diliman Tennis Court

Regardless of where the photos are taken, what matters more in an engagement session is the expression of love between the couple in every camera angle.

Clearwater Resort and Country Clubhouse Lawn Tennis

Tennis plays an important role in our love story. We both play this sport and have been mixed doubles partners on several occasions before we found love in each other. If we only had bigger budget, my first choice for our prenup shoots would have been the Clearwater Resort and Country Club at Los Angeles because of its beautiful lawn tennis court and lushful surroundings. My heart sank however when I learned about their prenup package rates as follows:
Day Trip Prenuptial Pictorial Photo-shoot Package – morning
Monday to Friday p6,500
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays p8,500

Inclusions:

Private room for changing and showering for three hours from 8 to 11am
4-course lunch for two at fine dining Yats Restaurant and Wine Bar
One bottle of wine – choice of white or red – picked up at Clark Wine Center
(no corkage charge even if consumed at dinner in Yats Restaurant or in the
privacy of your room)
Breakfast at Clearwater Breakfast Garden and Café
Up to five hours of photo-shoot session including admission for one
photographer and up to three assistants or family and friends

Our other choices would have been some tennis courts in Olangapo but when we considered the transportation fare on top of the entry fees, we decided to just do it in UP Diliman and we never regretted it. We contented ourselves in believing that regardless of where the photos are taken, what matters more in an engagement session is the expression of love between the couple in every camera angle.

Our engagement session we did last May was actually a random act of kindness by two of my closest officemates -Lee Anne & Judy. Both love photography and have creative inclinations. They told me that they’d be arranging free prenup shoots for me and to my now husband as their wedding gift to us.

Judy asked her sister Sean Dara to be the main photographer. Sean Dara is an amateur photographer yet but she is very easy to work with. There were awkward moments in the beginning of the shoot since it was our first time to meet but that came to pass eventually, thanks to Hannah – the clown of the group. Hannah served as the mood/emotions director. She did funny things against the backdrop to make it appear so natural for us to laugh and giggle. Cookie did my hair and make-up.

There’s a reason tennis begins with LOVE

We did our engagement session at UP Tennis Court at around 12 in the afternoon. it was kind of a rush already as the summer heat’s scorching our skin. We have reserved the time slot a week before and we were only allowed to do the session at 12 in the afternoon when most of the club members are not playing. We were asked to pay Php220 pHp only.
